How reliable and trustworthy is a company which is only willing to sell genuine genuine software which is not remotely malicious and is not lying about the capabilities of the applications they are selling? In a world where it's all too easy to make a copy of something even as simple as a DVD image, you can hardly be too careful. You may have made a copy and not realise it. You may even have inadvertently installed malware. I don't know how much of the software we used to download before it all went so downhill on the Internet was genuine, and how much was just another scam. But it seems to me to be a pretty safe bet that a lot of the software we downloaded was fraudulent.
All of the malicious code that we've seen in the past has been of the form Click here to install!. This looks like the words of a legitimate businessman because that's what he wants you to do. He's selling you a genuine software product which you have to agree to install anyway because otherwise the software won't work. He's not lying to you, there is no harm to you, and he's not trying to scam you. As a bonus, if it works, you may get some cool new features. And the only harm you cause is through your own ignorance. I'm not suggesting there are no legitimate free software companies out there who aren't scammers. You need to look at the whole picture and look at how many people are making money from a practice for which you have to read a lot of legal texts for every application you want to install.
A reasonable definition is that this is the very last chance to set the application's permissions. How do you know that the application you install now will be able to execute at times when you want it to? This is not so hard to understand. You have to read the descriptions of the new application to be sure it will not invoke other applications at inappropriate times. A legal definition is that the application can not grant itself any privileges it does not really require for the task at hand. Since it's a game application, it should not be able to listen to your microphone, for instance. In this case the application creates a folder called PenPal in your user profile directory. The application is stored in a subfolder called PenPal in this folder. You can rename this folder to something you prefer if you don't want it there. 827ec27edc
