I have this problem too... I accidentally dropped it in the water, immediately picked it up, and took it out of the case. I had the back glass removed (it was already cracked and I had a spare lying around) and I replaced it. During that time, I had a heater on and heated (I think) heated the water out of the phone. But just now, after a minor drop, the phone stopped displaying... touch screen works, accepting calls, and fingerprint (albeit I don't know if I actually got to the homepage or not) works.
